Bull fights were held here as entertainment for the Mayan people. Nuestra Senora del Carmen and the Iglesia de Cristo Rey are some of the most popular religious landmarks in Cancun.
This pyramid, named Chichen Itza, was built by the Maya civilization between the years of 550A.D. and 900A.D. It is guessed to be the site of religious worship and also used for ritual purposes. Any interesting fact about this pyramid is that there are 91 steps on each of the four sides of the structure. Together, they make 365, one for each day of the year.
